The Garden's outdoor displays
Alpine house

Parallel to the Spring Garden lies a small earth house, the Alpine House. It is divided into two sections; the smaller division is kept frost-free at a minimum temperature of 5°C while the larger division is unheated. This enables the culture of frost tender plants as well as alpines from drier mountain ranges.

The raised beds are planted with a collection of shrubs and perennials with bays left free where alpines and bulbs from the reserve collection are displayed when in flower.
